The band Vāmācāra plays death metal inspired by Hindu mythology. Since I’ve been inspired by music from India for quite a while, when our paths crossed it was no more than logical to work together. Thus Autaar set out to create an introductory track, which eventually became ‘Tolling Bell’.
This release channels Kali Maa, by chanting her ‘KRIM’ mantra in the initial track. For continuation of the atmospheric themes I offered six drones. These drones can be looped seamlessly, and layered on top of each other using a sampler. They are used to create intermediate soundscapes between live band performances.
Listen and enjoy. If you’d like to check out the band’s music, check out the Vāmācāra Bandcamp page.
